Abstract
This paper explores virtue ethics, based on the work of James Keenan and Maria Cimperman, as a framework for ethical behavior for both individuals suffering from HIV/AIDS and health care workers. The face of HIV infection has changed in the US to become, for the most part, a chronic disease. Our ethical framework must adapt to the new challenges presented by HIV as a chronic disease.
