Abstract
Catholic social teaching recognizes and articulates ideals that embody the various and dynamic aspects of living a life that is spiritually, socially, economically, and politically fulfilling. Catholic social tradition provides a foundation and a just framework for economic endeavors such as social entrepreneurship. Unlike some other businesspeople, social entrepreneurs do not seek wealth solely for the sake of wealth; they focus on supporting the common good. Such entrepreneurs utilize their creativity and ingenuity to accrue wealth through business initiatives, but the wealth accumulated from their commercial enterprises is used to sustain life and promote the well-being of both individuals and communities.
