Abstract
Melissa Tovar-Guerrero was born in Bogota, Colombia.a. Completed her Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies. She is-an author, journalist, and has written and published two books: Retorno a Dorlebo, which is a collection of fantastic stories. In her first novel, Los desprendimientos, Melissa exp/ores the ancient Japanese tradition of voluntary disappearances, known as johatsu. She is currently studying the Master in Theological Studies.
