Abstract
Christians, to take seriously the rapidly unfolding climate crisis that is upon us. Since that time, many initiatives have been undertaken at the local, national, and global level, yet current news headlines remain grim as to the future of planet Earth. In this workshop, participants will re-examine the urgent call placed by Pope Francis to “care for our common home” and be introduced to realistic examples of inspiring persons and groups taking up this call both close to home and around the globe. More importantly, this presentation will challenge participants to name achievable action steps they can take in their own families, parishes, places of dwelling, etc., as the time to act can no longer be ignored.
