Abstract
This paper is primarily a study on the meaning of symbol as it is linked to biblical typology. It deals with the concept of symbol--its nature and function--in theology and its relationship with types or figures in Scriptures. Typology, as a method of identifying the spiritual sense of the sacred text, is dealt with as well.
