Abstract
This paper gives evidence of how two central Christian tenets-self-denial and taking up one's cross daily-can benefit from becoming more accessible than they have come to be in the post-Christian era. The essay delves into these wisdom teachings to explore how Christ's grace works through them to encourage, guide, and especially save the lives of disciples and others with little or no faith.
