Abstract
This paper follows a prevalent real world issue, that of immigration, throughout the history of Catholic Social Teaching. It briefly explores how the prolific tradition of the Church on social issues in general can and should be used to guide its members in their daily lives. More specifically, this paper addresses the causes behind immigration, as well as how the Church calls Christians to alleviate these primary causes while also compassionately attending to the existent realities of immigrants along the way. In short, this paper is a reflection on one of the countless ways in which the Church calls us to treat all other humans as our neighbor; thus, with dignity and as the Image of God.
