Abstract
In this paper I explored the portrayal of the Wisdom figure in Sirach 24. I outlined the extent to which Wisdom was depicted as a personification of God. Further emphasis was placed on the relationship between Wisdom and Torah and the significance of this relationship in defining Israel's identity within an increasingly Hellenistic world.
