Abstract

An examination of the role of desire within two vocational contexts of the Christian life: the monastic way and the matrimonial encounter of husband and wife. Moreover how desire reveals a central aspect of the theology about God — this being the ultimate truth is that God seeks and longs for relationships with humankind.
