Abstract
Both of us in our different ways are working to preserve
endangered cultural heritage:
Fr. Columba, working with digitally preserving endangered manuscripts in war- torn countries through the work of HMML and many partner Universities
Sr. Makrina, working with Yazidis who do not have written texts and who are in serious danger of losing their heritage for good, seven years after the 2014 attacks by ISIS
and with no prospect of a return to ‘normal’. S. Makrina’s community is active in Church Sanctuary for the Yazidis in Germany.
Come hear about this sacred, life changing work.
