Abstract
Alene Tchourumoff is the senior vice president of the Center for Indian Country Development for the Minneapolis Federal Reserve (Minneapolis FED). The Minneapolis FED plays a unique role in supporting Native American communities which lag behind the rest of the United States when it comes to employment opportunities and economic development. Through conversation with Dr. Ted Gordon, the director of the CSB+SJU Initiative for Native Nation Relations, Ms. Tchourumoff discusses the economic challenges Native American communities face and the role of the Minneapolis FED in overcoming these challenges.
