Abstract
Presents a rhetorical analysis of the conspiracy theories that surround the crash of Trans World Airlines Flight 800 on July 17, 1996. Factors which contribute to the acceptance of the conspiracy theories; Role of the World Wide Web in the development and advancement of the conspiracy theories; Analysis of the argumentative weaknesses of the conspiracy theories.
