Abstract
Histology is the microscopic study of cells, tissues, and organs, through the process of sectioning, staining, and viewing. Histology is important because it allows for tissues and organ structures to be seen and for the functions of them to be understood. It also is useful in identifying diseases and other abnormalities. In this poster we will compare Masson’s Trichrome and H&E which are both staining techniques that can be used to identify certain components of tissue. We will also be comparing Paraffin and Frozen histology which have different methods of preparation and may lead to different visualizations of the tissue. Samples taken from a mouse uterus were used to make comparisons.
