Abstract
The art of spiritual directions is deeply rooted in Christian tradition. We will explore how modern-- and less directive-- understandings of accompanying another relate to the practice of “contemplative presence”. We will explore how the experience unfolds for both the director and the directee, always connecting ideas and practices to the basic theological assumptions of spiritual direction.
