Abstract
The article reports on the dynamics of social activism. Many activist groups include the support of allies whom are considered to be privileged and socially dominant. The privileged allies sometimes bring their sense of dominance into the movement with them. Questions exist as to whether or not these allies should play any role within the group. Identity, self expression, experience, building solidarity and using privilege are all addressed to contribute to the progress of social movement goals.
