Abstract
Explicit in the CSB/SJU academic learning goals is the development of leadership. One of the prominent leadership development programs on campus is the Inspiring Leaders Certificate Program (ILCP). The ILCP’s mission is to “prepare students for authentic leadership roles grounded in the Benedictine Values.”
In fall of 2007, ILCP began a longitudinal study to assess the effectiveness of the program. The assessment methods of this study are grounded in Ecological Leadership Theory. At this afternoon’s Friday Forum, Professor Don Fischer (Physical Education), Maribeth Overland (Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development), and Laura Adams (CSB Communication major, ILCP Student Manager) will discuss the findings from the initial phase of the study.
