Sally Koering Zimney, a 1999 College of Saint Benedict graduate, an award-winning speaker and a presentation coach, gave the Saint Benedict's Commencement address in Clemens Field House on the CSB campus.

Zimney addressed the 2026 Saint Ben’s graduating class of 315 undergraduate women and 17 nursing master’s and doctoral graduates.

Zimney (“Sally Z”) is a professional keynote speaker, bestselling author and coach whose career has been shaped by a simple belief: the world changes when people lead with courage, conviction and their full humanity.

A 1999 CSB graduate with degrees in theater and English – and the distinction of delivering that year’s student commencement address – Zimney went on to build a career at the intersection of storytelling, leadership and brave communication. Rooted in years of nonprofit work and equipped with a master’s degree in persuasion, she now coaches entrepreneurs, changemakers and leaders to find and use their truest voice in the moments that matter most.

She is the founder of Be Moved, author of the instant bestseller Speaking Story, and host of This Moved Me, a podcast ranking in the top 2% globally. Her work has brought her to stages for Adobe, Facebook, Cargill, Nickelodeon, Paramount and beyond.

Nominated by her peers, Ana Dailey, a graduating psychology and Hispanic studies major from Cottage Grove, Minnesota, was selected to provide the CSB student commencement address.
