Abstract
The Rule calls communities to “receive each other” and to “receive strangers” as Christ. This powerful but quiet insistence serves as a fundamental call to community and to openness even in dangerous times. Jakob Rinderknecht (SOT '05) will discuss how this posture has shaped our Saint John’s and Saint Ben’s communities, including the formation of the Collegeville First-Person Method of Dialogue and what it might contribute to the present political moment
