Abstract

The aim of this paper is to explore the meaning of anamnesis. I hope that by a study of the biblical notion of anamnesis and of some of the early anaphoras to uncover anamnesis as an essential aspect of Eucharistic worship. I hope also to make some suggestions as to why it is important to recover this aspect of the liturgy and some suggestions as to how this can be done.
