The Journal of Social Encounters is an interdisciplinary peace and justice studies journal published online by the Center for Social Justice and Ethics at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, in collaboration with the Peace Studies Department at College of St. Benedict/St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota. The JSE publishes essays by authors from any country in each issue, but some essays by African authors are always included so that African scholarship on peace, conflict and social justice will become better known.
