The native Hawaiian experience through folksongs
Ten Native Hawaiian Folksongs will be used as texts to highlight important events and themes for Hawaii's indigenous people. The songs selected reflect not only social change in Hawaii, but also reveal aspects of globalization in the archipelago beginning in the late 18th century.
