Abstract

Companies direct emotional appeals to children who often cannot separate fantasy from reality. These appeals sometimes manipulate children who in turn manipulate parents. Join Professor Rick Saucier (Management) in a discussion on the failure of child-targeted marketing programs to stand up and act on what they know to be true regarding the potential to damage children's bodies or minds.
