Abstract
Spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, the world is experiencing the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. As world leaders debate solutions, an interfaith movement is proposing answers from religious teachings and the Hebrew and Christian scriptures. The White House, US Congress, G20, G7, IMF and United Nations are implementing solutions proposed by Jubilee USA Network.

Eric LeCompte has led religious groups to win policies that alleviate poverty, address global conflict and promote human rights for more than 25 years. He is the Executive Director of Jubilee USA Network, a development coalition of more than 750 religious groups and organizations, and was a Resident Scholar at the Collegeville Institute in 2020. He advises the Holy See, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran and United Church of Christ Churches and Muslim and Jewish groups on the economy, climate issues and global pandemic response.
