Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to arrive at the meaning and identification of the woman. In the next chapter a brief look at the author and the apocalyptic genre will be made in order to place Revelation 12 in its proper milieu. The over-all plan and setting to chapter twelve will also be given. The main part of this study will be devoted to an exposition of chapter 12 in order to arrive at the identification of the woman clothed with the sun as intended by the sacred writer.
