Abstract
Beyond Diversity 101--Felicia Washington, an African American CSB graduate and current adjunct faculty member, dispels myths about students of color at predominately white institutions of higher learning. Her deconstruction is firmly grounded in up to date research and infused with a personal recounting of her own navigation through higher education. She will also examine the responsibility of students, faculty/staff, and administrators for meeting diversity goals. Finally, Ms Washington proposes concrete suggestions designed to meet the diversity challenge at CSB/SJU.
